Breaking Bad Season 3 Episode 2: Caballo Sin Nombre

Walt White is driving down the highway singing along to the radio. Walt is pulled over by a policeman who tells him he needs to fix his windshield. Walt goes into a tirade about the crack in the windshield coming from debris dropped by the Wayfarer 515 airplane crash on his house and can’t understand the officer’s reluctance to see his side of the story. Walt does not follow the officers instructions and becomes beligerent, resulting in being pepper-sprayed, then taken into custody.

Hank and the DEA team find the burned out remains of the truck and its occupants in the dessert. Hank thinks this is high-end cartel work and wants to investigate further into the crime. Jesse sees a for sale sign at his aunt’s home. Jesse stops by and tries to talk to his dad, who seems reluctant to talk to him about the sale. When Jesse suggests he come by to see his mom and dad for dinner his dad says maybe sometime. Jesse realizes his parents want little to do with him after the discovery of his meth lab while staying at his aunt’s house.

Walt sits at the police station with red eyes from the pepper-spray and is embarrassed by his behavior. After apologizing to the officer, Walt’s brother-in-law Hank bails Walt out of jail. As Hank drives Walt home, Walt confides to Hank that Skyler is divorcing him.

Saul visits Walt at his apartment. Walt is reluctant to start cooking meth again, even though Saul tries to convince him otherwise. Saul tells Walt Skyler would not risk talking to the police since Walt’s meth making would backfire on her, upset the kids and bring the feds into the mix, possibly confiscating the house in the process. After leaving a despondent Walt, Saul calls Mike, the private investigator who cleaned up after Jesse’s girlfriend’s overdose, and tells Mike to keep tabs on Walt.

Skyler, Flynn, Hank and Marie are having dinner when Flynn gets into it with Skyler at the dinner table. Flynn tells Skyler he wants to be called Walt Jr. from now and berates her that she can’t even say his dad’s name out loud. Walt Jr. knows Skyler told his dad to stay away and he’s angry with her. When Walt Jr. storms out of the room, Hank asks Skyler why she is keeping them away from Walt. Skyler tells Hank it’s none of his business. As Hank and Marie leave the house, Hank thinks Walt had an affair while Marie senses there is more going on than an affair.

Jesse meets with Saul and says he has a job for him to do. Saul meets with Jesse’s parents and their realtor, offering an undisclosed buyer offering a cash deal for the aunt’s home which is on the market for $875,000. Jesse’s parents are interested until Saul tells them the price offered is less than half of what they are asking for, $400,000 cash. They are insulted and prepare to leave the room until Saul reminds Jesse’s parents there was a meth lab in the house and that news won’t go over too well with other prospective buyers, then threatens them with a lawsuit. Jesse’s parents reluctantly agree to the cash offer.

The Cousins visit Uncle Tio at a nursing home. Uncle Tio can only ring a bell to answer their questions. The Cousins find a Ouija board game and spell out letters according to Uncle Tio’s bell rings to come up with Heisenberg’s real name: Walter White.

Walt Jr. shows up at Walt’s apartment with a packed bag. Walt Jr. tells Walt that the house is his home too and he should be able to stay there. Walt talks to Walt Jr. but he can’t tell him everything, upsetting Walt Jr. Walt calls Skyler and arranges to bring Walt Jr. home. Walt orders a pizza from their favorite pizza joint and drives Walt Jr. home. Skyler lets Walt Jr. in but won’t let Walt come in to share dinner, rejecting him and the pizza. Walt is frustrated and throws the pizza up on the roof of the house before he drives away.

Jesse’s parents are moving their things out of the aunt’s house when they see Jesse pull up. Jesse says hi to them, then walks towards the house as they tell him he has to leave because the new owners are arriving any minute. When his mom asks him where he thinks he’s going Jesse faces them with the keys to the house and tells them he bought it. Jesse opens the door and steps inside, leaving his stunned parents in the driveway.

Walt goes on a bender and finds himself face down on the carpet with bottles and popcorn strewn all over the floor. Skyler calls Walt, waking him up from his stupor. Skyler complains to Walt about the pizza on the roof, telling him to take care of it and threatens him with a restraining order. Walt arrives at the house to find Skyler has changed the locks on the house. Mike the private investigator is setting up surveillance equipment in the back yard of the house and hears Walt come through the back yard gate. Walt crawls under the house, popping up under the floorboards where he hid his drug money.

Mike heads back to the car as Walt decides he’s moving back into the house. Walt brings his suitcase into the house and proceeds to take a shower. Mike sees a car drive up to the front of the house. The Cousins walk up to Walt’s house, axe in hand, and enter the house. Mike calls Gus who says there is a problem. As the Cousins sit on Walt’s bed as he showers, one of the Cousins find the stuffed animal eye under the bed and tosses the eye into Walt’s suitcase. Gus texts the Cousins one word: POLLOS, the name of his restaurant. When Walt comes out of the bathroom he is surprised to see the eye in his suitcase and checks around the house, finding no one.
