HBO Show News: The Life & Times Of Tim


Tim is a normal, twentysomething New Yorker trying to get ahead at work while keeping his girlfriend Amy happy and living a “normal” life. However, in Tim’s world, his often peculiar choices leave him in outlandish, surprising situations. THE LIFE & TIMES OF TIM returns for its ten-episode third season FRIDAY, DEC. 16 (9:00-9:30 p.m. ET/PT). This animated comedy series about an average guy whose actions repeatedly lead him down the wrong path was created by Steve Dildarian, who executive produces, writes for the show and provides the voice of Tim. Each half-hour episode of THE LIFE & TIMES OF TIM consists of two segments that find Tim in a new unenviable dilemma.

An updated version of the old Dicken’s classic Christmas story, Scrooge, starring SNL alum and comic star Bill Murray, run back to back so you can fit in all the holidays shows in one evening.

The Simpsons Season 21 Episode 23: Judge Me Tender

The season 21 finale features the guest voices of American Idol host Ryan Seacrest, Idol judges Randy Jackson, Simon Cowell, Kara DioGuardi and Ellen DeGeneres, and the voice of Rupert Murdoch, Chairman and CEO of News Corp, the parent of Fox News and Fox Entertainment.

Bart and Homer work on making Santa’s Little Helper look ugly for the ugliest dog contest in Springfield. They finally decide to turn the dog around and tape a face on its rear end, calling the dog Satan’s Little Helper. As the contest begins, Moe tries to find a seat and is rebuffed by everyone he tries to sit next to. Krusty the Clown is the guest judge and not doing a great job of it. Moe says something sarcastic and the crowd starts to laugh. The more Moe says, the more the crowd responds. Krusty tells Moe if he thinks he can do better as a judge, go ahead, and Moe takes him up on his offer. Moe is a hit with the crowd and has found a new talent as a judge. Moe declares Satan’s Little Helper the winner of the ugliest dog show. Santa’s Little Helper feels depressed because everyone thinks he looks ugly. After the contest Lisa gives Santa’s Little Helper a pep talk to convince him he is an attractive and loveable dog.

The Simpsons Season 21 Episode 22: The Bob Next Door

The Simpsons are all a buzz as a new neighbor moves in next door to them. The family gathers around near the front of the house to see who the new neighbor might be. When the new neighbor Walt introduces himself to the Simpsons, Bart recognizes Sideshow Bob’s voice and panics, since Sideshow Bob has sworn to kill Bart. Walt spends time visiting with the Simpsons and his other neighbors proving to be a friendly neighbor. Bart is still not convinced Walt is not Sideshow Bob.

Marge takes Bart to prison to prove Sideshow Bob is still locked up. The prison guard tells Marge to keep a low profile since prisoners can be animals when they see a woman. As they walk down the prison halls the prison guard announces a pretty lady is in the house and the prisoners grab at Marge, making her uncomfortable. Marge and Bart look inside the solitary prison cell where Sideshow Bob is wrapped up in a straight jacket and writing “kill Bart Simpson” all over the walls. Sideshow Bob seems to be trying to tell them something but the writing on the wall convinces Marge Sideshow Bob is where he should be, while Bart is still skeptical.

The Simpsons Season 21 Episode 21: Moe Letter Blues

Moe the bartender narrates this episode. Marge mumbles to herself after her suggestion that Homer take the kids on a Krusty day cruise to visit Weasel Island so she can have a break for Mother’s Day is ignored. Homer doesn’t hear Marge and Marge sighs about Homer’s lack of interest in what she needs.

As the Krusty day cruise leaves the dock, a messenger delivers a letter from Moe to Homer, Reverend Lovejoy and Apu. Moe tells the men in his letter that he is in love with one of their wives and they plan on running off together. Homer, Reverend Lovejoy and Apu begin to worry about how they have treated their wives all these years.

Homer, Reverend Lovejoy and Apu have flashbacks reminding them of fights they had with their wives. The men remember how upset their wives were and that Moe was there during the fights. Homer’s flashback shows him ruining his mother-in-law’s 80th birthday party when Patty and Selma goad him into insulting them. Apu, his wife and children enter Moe’s bar to dry off after their car breaks down. Apu’s wife, Manjula, is angry with him when they discover one of their children was left at Moe’s bar. The Reverend Lovejoy shows little interest for hanky-panky when Helen Lovejoy appears in a nightgown, preferring to play with his toy train set instead.

The Simpsons Season 21 Episode 20: To Surveil With Love

Duffman shows up to Moe’s bar offering free Duff’s beer giveaway stuff. When Homer shows Bart all his new Duff goodies Bart shows little interest in it. Lisa debates Nelson’s stupidity after he trips Milhouse and teases him. Nelson tells Lisa he bows to her logic. A teacher overhears Lisa’s debating skill and invites her to join the debate team. Ralph has to stand in as Lisa’s podium since the school has little funds for the debate team.

Lisa debates about cars and energy. The brunette debater Megan harasses Lisa during their debate, teasing her about being empty headed because she’s blond. Lisa loses the debate by “a hair”.

Mr. Burns and Smithers discuss how the company can get rid of their excess plutonium. Mr. Burns suggests Smithers find the biggest idiot of their employees and slip the plutonium into their backpack, which turns out to be Homer. Smithers slips the plutonium into Homer’s new Duff duffle bag while he and his buddies sit and eat lunch at Springfield Union Station, clothed in their Duff beer clothes and swag. When a business man mentions great mac and cheese in another town, Homer runs off to get some, leaving his Duff bag. A woman sees the unattended bag and immediately screams “unattended duffle bag”, to which everyone in the building starts running thinking it is a terrorist bomb. The police and the bomb squad come in to investigate. The bomb squad decides to blow up the bag. The news comes on that night with a story of the duffle bag being blown up along with the deadly plutonium it contained, no doubt a terrorist plot. The plutonium apparently creates a large number of Hulk types from the explosion.

The Simpsons Season 21 Episode 19: The Squirt and the Whale

This Earth Day episode centers on Homer’s quest for cheap electricity and Lisa’s concern over a beached whale. Homer’s electric bill is sky high and he’s not going to take it anymore. Homer decides to look into a cheaper energy source at the Earth day event. Homer and the family decide on a wind turbine which works fine when the wind is blowing. When the wind is not blowing Lisa and Bart take turns turning the turbine so they can keep watching their favorite shows on TV. Homer becomes disillusioned with wind turbines, even more so when a huge storm hits the area, creating disaster throughout Springfield and beaching a whale in the process.

Lisa finds the beached whale and becomes attached to Bluella. Marge worries that Lisa is becoming too attached to the whale and realizes most beached whales don’t survive. Homer talks the whole town into turning out to help free the beached whale. After numerous attempts at saving Bluella, the town realizes they cannot help the whale. Lisa sits by Bluella keeping her company and falls asleep on the beach. When Lisa wakes up she finds that Bluella has died. Lisa is devastated at the loss of Bluella. Marge and Homer try to cheer Lisa up. The townspeople decide to blow up the remains of Bluella but mostly end up exploding whale blubber all over the themselves.

The Simpsons Season 21 Episode 18: Chief Of Hearts

Homer has to visit the bank but food is not allowed there so he puts his candy apple in his pocket. The clerks think he has a gun and mistakenly think he’s holding up the bank. At trial the judge sentences Homer to 100 hours of community service (he thinks its worse than going to prison). During comunity service Homer begins to become friends with Chief Clancy Wiggum who is supervising the prisoners. Homer and Chief Wiggum begin a bromance of sorts, with Chief Wiggum very excited that he has a new friend and asking the other cops if Homer is watching him as Homer leaves community service that day.

Marge overhears Bart and Milhouse talk about a cool new transformer toy similar to a Pokemon-style trading card game, called Battle Balls. Marge misunderstands them and thinks the kids are talking about drugs. Bart and Milhouse are way into these new toys. Marge rummages through Bart’s room and Bart catches his mom searching for drugs. Bart shows his mom Battle Balls and Marge thinks the toy is super cool.

The Simpsons Season 21 Episode 17: American History X-Cellent

Mr. Burns expects his entire power plant workforce to put on a 4th of July BBQ extravaganza for him so he can enjoy the holiday while his workers slave away for him. Homer, Lenny and Carl are tired of working on the holiday and sneak into Mr. Burns wine cellar. They get drunk and destroy some of Mr. Burns precious items stored away and make a big dent in his wine collection. When Mr. Burns calls the police to come to investigate the problem the police find a famous stolen painting hanging in Burn’s wine cellar and arrest him, sending him to jail.

Lisa wants to share her excitement about her ant farm with Bart, who isn’t too interested at first. Bart sticks a whole pop-tart into the ant farm and Lisa is upset. The ant farm breaks by accident and one lone ant is saved. Lisa creates a new ant farm for her one ant and warns Bart to stay away from it.

Mr. Burns assistant Smithers takes over the business and tries to be nice to the workers. Homer, Lenny and Carl take advantage of Smithers until he overhears them making fun of his gullible nature. Smithers decides to be just like Mr. Burns only worse and Homer, Lenny and Carl begin to wish Mr. Burns would come back.
