Jack’s right wing girlfriend Avery tells him she has heard rumors NBC is going to be bought out by a cable company called Kabletown out of Philadelphia. Jack can’t believe the rumors are true. Avery is so convincing Jack begins to think there is something to this rumor. Jack has Jonathan check out the top-secret buyout, insisting he must visit his “assistant underworld” to get the truth. Jenna reads a rave review of Tracy’s one-man show and is outraged. Tracy is aiming for the Tony in his EGOT necklace (Emmy, Grammy, Oscar, Tony awards) by doing stream-of-consciousness comedy, saying random things during his show. Jenna tells Tracy in order to earn a Tony, his one-man show must be the same performance eight times in a row to be considered for a Tony. Liz decides to visit her dentist to get the scoop on her mystery man, but her dentist won’t give her any other information other than he is English and she and the man were laughing together in the dentist’s office. Kenneth is Mr. Optimism and tells Liz she should call him. When Liz says something cynical, Kenneth throws his wallet out of the office window telling Liz good things will happen and his wallet will turn up. The next day Kenneth realizes he needs his donkey meds that were in his wallet, if he doesn’t take them he has donkey fits, braying like a donkey and falling to the ground. This just makes Liz feel even more cynical about Kenneth’s belief that good things happen and his wallet will be returned.
