Jeff runs into Annie, who is saying goodbye to her boyfriend Vaughn and proceeds to make-out with him while Jeff waits, rolling his eyes. As Jeff and Annie walk to the library for study group, Dean Pelton reminds them that Greendale is having the fifth dance of the year, the Transfer Formal for students transferring to real colleges. Dean Pelton assumes the group is going since Britta has been nominated for Transfer Queen.

At study group everyone is talking about summer plans. Troy mentions his dad wants him to move out. When Troy ponders out loud who he could live with, he mentions Abed has an extra bunk in his dorm. Abed is strangely silent then changes the subject, confusing Troy. Dean Pelton drops by to announce since the Transfer Formal did not seem to spark interest from the students the dance has been renamed the Tranny Dance. Britta is in her final free therapy session with Professor Duncan. Britta is concerned about being one of the Transfer Formal’s nominees for Transfer Queen. Professor Duncan convinces Britta to get dressed up and enjoy her nomination at the dance, then proceeds to hit on her like usual. Jeff runs into Professor Slater in the hallway, who has decided she made a mistake by breaking up with Jeff and wants another chance at their relationship. Jeff is skeptical about her at best.

Troy shows up at Abed’s end of the year kegger in Abed’s dorm room. Troy hints at moving in with Abed but Abed is not interested. Abed finally tells Troy best friends should not move in together because it ruins their friendship. Abed suggests Troy move in with someone he isn’t close buds with. At the kegger party Vaughn tells Annie he has accepted a membership in a elite hacky sack team, but the school is in Delaware. Annie decides she should transfer from Greendale to the college Vaughn is attending. Annie announces to the study group that she will be moving to Delaware with Vaughn for the summer. Annie pulls Jeff aside to tell him she is moving to Delaware permanently with Vaughn and asks him not to tell the rest of the group until after she leaves. Troy asks Pierce for advice about moving in with Abed and Pierce offers Troy a room at his place, which Troy happily accepts. Pierce tells Troy he should come over on Sunday so his tailor can fit him for a uniform, which confuses Troy.

At the Tranny Dance, Britta and Professor Slater both show up dressed up for Jeff. Britta and Professor Slater trade catty remarks back and forth while Jeff listens to them argue. Professor Duncan tries to hit on Professor Slater, letting slip that Jeff and Britta slept together. Professor Slater goes into overdrive, kissing Jeff while Britta looks on. In the middle of the Transfer Queen contest Britta announces over the microphone she is in love with Jeff. Not to be outdone, Professor Slater tells Jeff she is in love with him as well. Jeff tells Britta he doesn’t know how he feels, unable to make a choice between them, and walks out of the dance.

As Jeff walks out of the dance he sees Annie walking towards him. Annie tells Jeff she decided she couldn’t leave for Delaware with Vaughn since she’d miss the study group and is staying at Greendale. Jeff is glad Annie’s staying and they hug as friends. After their hug Jeff and Annie look into each others eyes and kiss passionately, making Jeff’s decision about Britta and Professor Slater an easy one.
