Holmes on Homes On HGTV TV Review

HGTV specializes in home improvement shows that deal with helping homeowners learn how to buy and sell in the real estate market, and renovate their homes. One of the most popular experts in home improvement on the channel is Mike Holmes, a general contractor who steps in and fixes homeowner problems when renovations go wrong. When contractors won’t return homeowners calls, Mike Holmes brings his team of experts in to tear down the problems and fix them from the ground floor up. Holmes and his team cover problems from plumbing and electrical to carpentry and roofing. Holmes believes in doing things right the first time around and has little patience for contractors who cut corners and bilk homeowners out of their hard earned money.

Mike Holmes mission is to expose poor, substandard workmanship in the building industry while helping homeowners make informed decisions. Contractor Holmes has a winning personality as the show host and a penchant for detail and perfection when it comes to building homes. It is fascinating to watch Holmes and his team pull apart areas in a home and find problems in each episode. Along the way viewers learn something about building, renovations, and legal permits when making changes to their homes. After the Holmes team recreates the living space the finished product is always impressive. Holmes is happy with a handshake or hug from homeowners as the thanks for his hard work, and the chance as he says to “make it right”.

Holmes On Homes airs Sundays at 9:00 p.m. on HGTV. The show is popular so check your local TV schedule for upcoming episodes and reruns of the series.
